The location of Colonial Lodge Motel was perfect for exploring the area, with easy access to the CBD and beautiful views of the lake. The rooms were clean and spacious, providing enough space for our group of five adults. The bed was comfortable and provided good support, ensuring a restful sleep. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the owners, who gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. our stay at Colonial Lodge Motel was enjoyable and we would definitely consider staying here again.

The cleanliness iin the bathrooms. Spa jets where dirty as where the surrounds of the shower dirty and showing their age

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was perfect as it was close to all attractions and right on the waterfront. The cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional and the hotel facilities were top notch. We were impressed by the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information about the city. Moreover, there was a coffee van across the road and parking was not an issue.

It is on the side of Lake Taupo which is a stunning lake. It is also close to town - walkable in 15 min. Colonial is clean and basic.

The hosts were fabulous and very knowledgeable about the local area, giving us great recommendations. The rooms were spacious with lovely touches. The cleanliness was impeccable. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the proximity to local tourist sites.

Honestly, we can't think of anything negative to say about our experience. The location was perfect for our needs, and the staff made our stay truly memorable.

I had such a fantastic stay at this hidden gem! The owners, Anthony and Noel, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. They provided me with loads of valuable information and recommendations for things to do in the area, which really enhanced my stay in this beautiful location. The suite I stayed in was not only well-appointed, but it also had personal touches throughout that added a luxurious touch to my stay.

I would highly recommend this place to my friends. The staff were great and I had no complaints whatsoever.

when we entered the room,we were greeted by strong curry smell.It was not particularly clean.Old furniture,uncomfortable beds,as well as very noisy aircon leading to sleepless night .
